Movin’ on up.

41 months later and we just mailed our final payment to the Ford Motor Company for Dojo’s delivery and special events van, “Nice Dreams.”

Much appreciation for former CEO of Findlay Market Bob Pickford, and former Over-the-Rhine Chamber of Commerce President Brian Tiffany for the opportunity in 2009 to apply for the Business First Grant. This grant helped to substantially lessen the load of our startup expenses (delivery van, batch freezers imported from Italy, espresso machine, gelato display cabinet, freezers/refrigerators, Dojo Cart) while we were becoming established in OTR. Of course, scooping a few cups of gelati along the way to you, our loyal patrons, helped to bring the rest together.

Dojo Gelato at Wyoming Farmers’ Market

Dojo Cart will again be participating in the Wyoming Farmers’ Market. This will be our third season with the Market and we always enjoy slinging the good stuff with them. Stop by and say hello!

Wyoming Farmers’ Market is a non-profit, producer-only, volunteer-run business committed to offering local, consumable products to our neighbors. Our Market carries organic and sustainably-raised fruits, vegetables, eggs and meats, and carefully produced cottage products. All products are produced with integrity and transparency. Our customers are locavores and local residents who like to build relationships with people who raise the food they serve to their families. Our farmers are located within 90 miles of the Market, and the cottage-produced products are made within 25 miles*.

May through October, Market hours are 3 pm – 7 pm, Tuesdays. We are conveniently located on Wyoming Ave. at Oak on the Village Green in downtown Wyoming.

Dojo Gelato and Second Sunday on Main

We are excited to announce that we will be taking part in the 2012 season of Second Sunday on Main. Second Sunday on Main is an eclectic neighborhood festival, presented by the Over-the-Rhine Chamber of Commerce (of which Dojo has been a proud member since 2009).

Second Sunday on Main begins its seventh season on June 10 and continues through October 14th on the second Sunday of every month from Noon – 5 p.m. in historic Over-the-Rhine on Main Street between 13th and Liberty Street. The event is free and open to the public. Here is the schedule for this on going event:

Crafty Supermarket, Spring Show

We’re creating the good stuff for this Saturday and getting excited to slang the cream at one of our favorite events of the year, Crafty Supermarket. Tacocracy, La Terza, Sweet Peace Bakery, Taste of Belgium, Fireside Pizza and Melt will also be in the house. She’s crafty!
